The nine stand alone units along with the Pretest and Post Test Assessments comprise the ARE YOU WORTHY? Emergency Medicine Recertification and Review Course.

The Home Study Course

The entire course is composed of 9 sections as identified below book-ended by a 200 question Pretest and 200 single answer multiple choice Post Test.  Each unit is accompanied by 100 question single answer multiple choice test for a total of board quality 1,300 single answer multiple choice questions.  Within each unit there are 200-400 true or false questions that covers the breath and depth of emergency medicine.

Pretest Assessment

The PRETEST is a 200 question single answer multiple choice test keyed to the 2003 Model of Clinical Practice of Emergency Medicine.  The test is designed to assess the subscribers strengths and weaknesses in emergency medicine.  After completion of the test the answer sheet is returned to Decker Communications for scoring and analysis.  The subscriber performance report and reference answers are returned to the subscriber by email.

Unit 2 contains 1179 true false questions on neurologic disorders (409) and questions about the subjects of toxicology and pharmacology (770).

Unit 3 is composed of 1109 true false questions divided into two sections: cutaneous disorders (133) and traumatic disorders (976). 

Signs, Symptoms and Presentations (01)

Psychobehavioral Disorders (14)

Unit 4 contains a total of 703 questions divided into two sections: the newly anointed signs, symptoms and presentations (490) and psychobehavioral disorders (213).

Environmental Disorders (06)

Skills and Procedures (19)

Two sections comprise Unit 5 with a total of 1036 true false questions: environmental disorders (210) and skills and procedures (826).

Cardiovascular Disorders (03)

Hematology / Oncology Disorders (08)

Unit 6 is composed of two units cardiovascular disorders (383) and hematology oncology (165).  The total number of true false questions is 548.

Abdominal / Gastrointestinal Disorders (02)

Administrative Issues (20)

Unit 7 contains two units: abdominal and gastrointestinal disorders (320) and administrative disorders (376).  There are 696 total true false questions in this unit.

Endocrine, Metabolic and Nutrional Disorders (05)

Unit 8 is composed of a total of 816 true false questions divided into three units: endocrine, metabolic and nutritional disorders (208), HEENT disorders (277) and renal and urologic disorders (331).

Unit 9 contains two sections systemic infectious diseases (412) and obstetric and gynecologic disorders (227).  There are a total of 639 true false questions in this unit.
