The cost of LLSA examinations have increased from $90.00 for three attempts to $95.00 for three attempts this year. The Continuous Certification (ConCert) Examination for 2006 will be offered at a testing center near you! The cost of the examination will be $1,595.00 unless you register late (after October 13, 2006). IF you register late online you will pay an additional fee ($870.00). The potential cost of this examination could run the examinee in excess of $6,000.00 if you register late ($2,465.00), cost of recommended review course ($800.00 to $3,500.00), cost of missed work, cost of missed family time and cost of transportation. YOU CAN'T REVIEW EMERGENCY MEDICINE IN A WEEK! Practice Examination from ABEMPractice examination can be purchased from the testing agent for $125.00 each. These examinations will be offered in the examination centers using the same testing programs designed by ABEM. The problems with taking the practice examinations are that you will take an examination composed of questions that are not going to be scored and may or are not representative of the real examination. With the Decker Advantage you will take a minimum of 11 examinations. These examinations will be scored, you will receive a statistical evaluation of your performance as your strengths and weaknesses and comparison to what other emergency physicians who have taken the same questions are doing! A significant value to you. EXAMINATION CONTENT: For both certification and recertification examinations, ABEM specifies the content of the examinations that it prepares.
